The mixed media encaustic and acrylic works in this exhibition are experiments in different ways of stimulating our sensory and perceptual experience. There is no hidden message or story to be discerned in these paintings. I hope that you let yourself notice and become interested in and curious about your own experience of these paintings… whatever it is that captures your attention… shapes, textures, translucent layers, and images (some more clearly defined than others)…the elements that draw you in…the sensations and perceptions that arise…the details that resonate with you.
